On Tuesday, February 10 all middle and high school students participated in the School’ to Tools program. The program brings local trades members to the school to teach the benefits of getting an apprenticeship and going into carpentry or millwright work. There were different stations set up where students could challenge each other in a hammering or driver competition. Also, they built miniature house frames. In their mobile trailer, students took VR tours of job sites, practiced welding with a machine, and played a fun Kahoot game to learn more about the trade union. Many of our students were able to experience the diverse career opportunities available to them, thanks to this fantastic program!
